I'm starting to wonder... @ 10:42:00 PM

If asian drama's have so much drama in 16 or more episodes (fewer than 60..unless your 'nonstop'), how do american daytime drama's last 30 years on the same plot...
I mean, sometimes, 16 plus episodes just drag on a drama making it hard to watch. But 30 years?
